Dr Vasanthan brings more than three decades of clinical experience across general practice, occupational medicine, emergency medicine and skin cancer medicine, providing thorough and patient-centred care for people of all ages.

Experienced GP Serving the Blacktown Community

Dr Vasanthan graduated as a medical doctor in Norway in 1991 and has since worked across multiple healthcare systems including New Zealand and Australia.

Throughout his career he has worked in:

• General practice

• Emergency medicine

• Occupational medicine

• Skin cancer medicine

This broad clinical background allows Dr Vasanthan to provide comprehensive general practice care, from preventative health and chronic disease management through to the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions.

Dr Vasanthan holds fellowships with both:

• Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)

• Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP)

He has also completed postgraduate training in Occupational Medicine and Emergency Medicine through the University of Auckland and is currently undertaking further postgraduate study in Skin Cancer Medicine at the University of Queensland.

Dr Vasanthan has a strong focus on skin cancer medicine and provides:

Where appropriate, he also provides treatment including:

• Skin biopsies

• Cryotherapy for certain lesions

• Curettage and cautery
