Dr. Richard Curran, Specialist General and Laparascopic Surgeon
Dr. Richard Curran is a General and Laparoscopic Surgeon. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995
and completed advanced training in general surgery on the NSW Western rotation. He was awarded his fellowship from
the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2008.
Dr. Curran is a Consultant General Surgeon at Westmead Hospital and Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals, specialising
in laparoscopic general surgery. He is also a Visiting Medical Officer at Norwest Private Hospital.

Dr. George Gayagay, Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Gayagay has a long association with Blacktown, having completed his HSC at Blacktown TAFE. He was a recipient of Blacktown Council's tertiary scholarship for his medical studies and was accepted into advanced surgical training whilst doing his junior training at Mount Druitt, Blacktown and Westmead hospitals. Dr. Gayagay completed his training in 2011 in Sydney under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association, followed by a year's fellowship in Canberra. Dr. Gayagay has travelled extensively, teaching and providing orthopaedic services within Australia and in disadvantaged locations overseas.

Dr. Graham Reece, Associate Professor
MB.,BS (Syd), F.R.A.C.P., C.I.C.M., D.C.H.
Dr. Reece holds dual specialist qualifications – as a Consultant Physician in General Medicine and also as an Intensive Care Physician. He also holds a Diploma in Child Health. Apart from his clinical work, Dr. Reece has been a lead instructor in medical simulation for over a decade and his research interests lie in the prevention of the deterioration of hospitalised patients with acute medical conditions, the management of acute renal dysfunction and networked clinical information systems. He is also experienced in teaching medical students.
