As in previous years, KRMC ran a stall at this year's Woodcroft Festival. We also contributed Westpoint gift vouchers for the tombola and handed out free fruit.
Free Exercise Program for Pre-Diabetic patients
TAFE Western Sydney and Western Sydney Diabetes are collaborating to deliver a 12 week program targeted at pre-diabetic patients.
Following an initial health screening, goal setting and healthy eating education sessions, participants will begin a supervised group exercise program.
The program is free and will mainly be conducted by 3rd and 4th year TAFE students from the Personal Training and Fitness department. The program will take place at Blacktown TAFE on Tuesdays from 9.30am to midday, starting on 11th September.
If you are pre-diabetic (or believe you may be) and would like to take part, please make an appointment with your KRMC GP. Your GP will give you a leaflet with information on how to register for the program.
With the warmer weather ahead of us, what better time to work on your health and fitness?!
KRMC Deadly Moves Dance Group
KRMC is funding a Dance Group for local Indigenous children aged 2 - 16 years. Participants are encouraged to connect to their health through culture, song and dance. The Group will meet at Doonside Community Centre from 3.30pm - 5.00pm each Monday beginning 7th May.
We are now into our second term of Deadly Moves - why not join us?
